Using skin-med's Enerpeel PA or TCA, each of our peels are individually tailored to your skin type. The peeling solution is in a patented carrier solution which allows it to uniquely break down both the fat and water component of cells providing a cleaner peel with less post peeling debris to cause irritaiton and redness and slow down the healing process. This peel is as effective as a 70% glycolic acid peel but with much less, if any post peeling and skin shedding, because it removes the fatty parts of the cell which other acid peels leave behind and these are the major cause of post peeling symptoms. New Technology in Skin Peeling, ENERPEEL PA® is an individually tailored superficial peel which has been through successful clinical trials and has been granted a medical device licence, which we believe is a first for a peel. This means it is still available for use by clinicians and therapists but in the knowledge that it has medical device approval. Enerpeel PA takes the Guess Work Out of Peeling.
Your clinician will ask you questions and fill in a patient record card. During this stage they will record any relevant medical history and assess your skin for suitability for the procedure. You will also be assessed for skin type and the length of peel application will also be determined. You will be advised of the process that the procedure follows and any potential risks will be assessed and discussed. You will then be asked to sign an informed consent form. Your skin will be prepared and the then the peeling solution applied for a few minutes and then neutralised with an arginine wipe. Discomfort is minimal and virtually all people return to their normal daily routine immediately afterwards.
Prior to your procedure you should have prepared your skin with Terproline Professional which will improve results and reduce any post peeling redness or skin flaking. This should also be used between sessions along with a sun screen which is recommended immediately following the peel as your skin will be more sun sensitive for a few days afterwards. After the peeling sessions have been completed continue to use Terproline to improve results and aid recovery and then introduce Fillast to further enhance and maintain results.
